Vitamin C as Ester ^C® is superior to "normal" vitamin C in several ways:

1. It is particularly gentle on the stomach (not acidic) as it is bound to calcium and is therefore buffered.
2. Due to threonate, a metabolic product in vitamin C metabolism, bioavailability is increased compared to other types of vitamin C.
