Vitamin B6 active forte capsules contain a high dose of vitamin B6 in its active form as pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P for short).

Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin and is sensitive to heat and light. It is the umbrella term for pyridoxal, pyridoxine and pyridoxamine. Vitamin B6 is found in these three forms in our food. They can be converted into each other in the human metabolism.

In these vitamin B6 active capsules, the high-dose vitamin B6 is already present as P-5-P. This means that no conversion has to take place in the liver. The active form is made directly available to the body. This means that vitamin B6 acts faster and has better bioavailability. Each capsule contains 25 mg of active vitamin B6 (P5P).

Together with vitamin B9, B6 is the most important coenzyme in homocysteine metabolism. Vitamin B6 also plays a role in fat metabolism and is involved in the formation of messenger substances in the nerves. It also plays a role in the immune system and in certain hormone activities.

If the body is sufficiently supplied with vitamin B6, around 100 mg of the vitamin is stored in the muscles. If you consume more vitamin B6 than can be stored, it is excreted via the kidneys.
